Attack at a China school leaves 9 dead
An attacker with a cleaver hacked to death seven children and two adults at a kindergarten in China. There was eleven other children that had been wounded. 48-year-old Wu Huanming had been the killer and had returned home after the attack. He had committed suicide as soom as he had got to his house. Wu had owned the property that the school is on and was arguing with them who was among the victims. There have been many attacks in China since March there has been over 17 killed and more than five dozen that have been injured. The attack had began at around 8:20 in the morning as the children were arriving at school. He had killed the manager of the school and a student when he first arrived then he proceded to hack at 18 other students. There was five boys and two girls that had been killed in the attack.
My opinion on attacks in schools is that they shouldn’t let anybody near the school if they look suspicious then you should call the cops. If they are coming to pick up there child in a school where there is alot of violence then make them show there idea and have them tell you who their coming to pick up and then let them go in. If you have alot of violence in a school then put bars up so that nobody can get in without premission.

Gov. Jan Brewer signed the nation’a toughest bill on illegal immigration on Friday. When word had got out that Jan Brewer had signed the bill it had unleashed immediate protests and reignited the divisive battle over immigration form. President Obama had criticized the sign. Obama had stated that the law was threatening to undermine basic notions of fairness that we cherish as Americans. Hispanic workers had staged a one-day strike to protest the growing anti-immigrant sentiment. Hispanic leaders are now calling for a nationwide boycott of Arizona. It is not a new conflict tensions have built for years over the influx of undocumented workers to this desert state. There had been nearly 500,000 people that were trying to enter the state of Arizona that had been arrested between the months of October and July.
I think that this law makes since because there are to many people coming into our country and living for free. People are having a hard time finding jobs here in America but yet they are letting people from other countries come in and they are giving them jobs. Why can’t they provide them jobs with people that already live in our country not people that they bring in from other countries.

President Obama is aiming to slash each country’s stockpile of nuclear weapons by 80 per cent. It would cut the number of nuclear warheads to 1,000 each. He is to establish a non-proliferation office at the White House to oversee the talks. There has been no final decision on the defence shield has been taken by Obama. He has pledged to put nuclear weapons reduction at the heart of his presidency and his first move will be to reopen talks with Moscow to replace the 1991 US Soviet Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty. Obama and Russian President Dmitir Medvedev signed a new nuclear disarmament treaty in Prague. United States and Russia are the world’s two nuclear superpowers and they are pledging to reduce their nuclear arms by a third.

London, Europe had begun to emerge from a volcanic cloud on Monday. Many of the airports had been closed because the ash was so bad that you couldn’t see anything. The volcano had been strengthening and sending most of the ash toward Britain. They ahd decided to divide the European skies into three different areas. There was a “no-fly” zone, a caution zone, and an open-skies zone. Monday night the eruption of the volcano had strengthened and a new ash cloud was now forming and spreading toward Britain. On Tuesday many people were cheering because they could finally get out of Europe because the airports were finally up and running again. Some of the ash that had drifted over the North Sea from the volcano was being pushed back over Britain on Tuesday.

Ever since the 2003 conflict in Sudan there has been many ravages by killings, torture, destruction and rape. There has been about 300,000 men, women, and children that have died and about 2.6 have been displaced from their homes and live in camps for refugees. Operations had drastically been reduced because of attacks by armed assailants on aid wrokers. Many humanitarian aid groups no longer have access to some areas of Darfur. The violence has got so bad that it has forced almost 2.7 million famers and villagers from non-Arab groups to leave their homes. Most of the peope that had to leave their homes are now living in the camps that are in Darfur but some of them have moved across the border to Chad.

On Sunday morning a helicopter had crashed on Mount Morrison. Two men had been on that helicopter and were carried off and taken to a hospital with minor injuries. Flight instructor Jesse Whitsett and his student Michael McDonald had been in the privately owned helicopter when they sent out a distress call at about 7:40 a.m. They had thought that they were going to land in the north parking lot at Red Rocks State Park. The chopper had landed about 1.5 miles northwest of Red Rocks Ampitheatre. They had landed on a concrete pad and then rolled on Mount Morrison. Nobody knows what the pad is usually used for. The men had been taken to Swedish Medical Center in Littletown.

The health care bill had passed by about five votes. The votes had totaled to be 220-215. The votes had took a toll on many Americans because it had passed a new law where you were required to have heatlh insurance. Democrats had been counting down for the voting period to end and when it did they started to cheer and the Republicans had sat on the floor with their hands folded. President Obama and Nancy Pelosi had finally got what they had been creating behind closed doors from the past months. The health care reform will increase families health care costs, increase the deficit, increase taxes on small businesses and the middle class, and cut Medicare.
No i don’t think that government should be involved in health care because it will just make it worse. Unless they go against the situation then they might be a little bit of help becuase they might go against it and not like the fact that it is going to ruin most of the small businesses because they can’t afford to pay for health care.

Denver, Colorado is cutting many of the teachers from the school and the students are ready to fight to get them back. Colorado has been ranked the 50th out of 50 states in higher ranking education funding. Many of the kids at Denver schools had voiced their opinions on the cut. One of the budgets that was cut was the scholarship for low-income students which 29 Universitys of Colorado students had been assisting. Many residents of Colorado Springs aren’t very happy with the budget cuts either because their city is mostly dark at night time now. They also don’t have trash bins to throw their trash away while walking down the street.
My opinion on the budget cut is that i don’t think that it is necessary to fire teachers from the schools. Many students rely on them teachers and the less activities that they have in the school the less students that will show up to school. If school doesn’t have activities like art then the students are just sitting in class all day without having any break periods.
